On Saturday, 31st August, I.B Holdings, the developer of BoviLab, visited the Netherlands. Marc van de Meent and Mark van Kleef, the importer of BoviLab, discussed with I.B Holdings about the current FarmLabo dashboard, opportunities to do more with the data, and the possibility of adding new slides to the package.
Potential developments include:
- A renewed liver function slide;
- A transition slide for more comprehensive screening of the energy balance in transition cows;
- A calf slide, for both ‘emergency cases’ and monitoring.
The current downer cow slide and transition slide are well-used and will remain in the package.
The four of them met at a dairy farm in Monnickendam (N.-H.) to discuss and plan. The day concluded with a dinner in the tourist town (see photo).
