FarmLabo organised a successful workshop for (prospective) users of BoviLab. Together with Elanco, FarmLabo joined forces to bring this event to life. On 16 May, veterinarians and some nutritionists travelled to Boerderij de Pol in Scherpenzeel (Gld.) to attend the workshop.
After the reception and a sandwich lunch, bovine veterinarian Mark van Kleef explained how BoviLab offers a unique opportunity for veterinarians. Angelique Rijpert, veterinarian at Elanco Animal Health, talked about Monitor – Manage – Bescherm (Monitor – Manage – Protect). This is Elanco’s comprehensive approach, focusing on cow health during the transition period.
After a workshop in the barn, the participants provided advice based on the blood results of the dairy farmers dry and fresh cows, the farmer can start working with immediately. During the presentations and the discussion about the blood results, a productive, in-depth discussion ensued. These discussions provided valuable lessons to take home and apply in practice.
